The LINKS Foundation was founded in 2016 exploiting and enhancing the experience gained from the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB) and from the Istituto Superiore on Territorial Systems for Innovation (SiTI) in the first 2 decades of the new millennium in the field of research applied and technology transfer, adding a fundamental element such as the enhancement of the research result. As part of the knowledge chain, the Foundation intends to enhance the lever of applied research, contributing to the growth of the socio-economic system by relating the academic world, the public and private sectors, activating large-scale processes and projects with significant impacts on territory. The Foundation intends to establish a dialogue with the local, national and international business entrepreneurship, in order to share and enhance knowledge, experience and innovation. The Foundation is an ideal partner for both SMEs, which can enhance the ability to develop innovation and gain competitiveness using the experience and expertise of the foundation, both of the Large Enterprises that can, in partnership with it, develop new ideas and new technologies.

Position

Job offer description:

The Innovation Development Research Area at LINKS Foundation is a multidisciplinary team studying economic, social and policy implications of ICTs. The Research Area is seeking a highly-skilled Researcher & Business Analyst who will carry out applied research activities within the scope of the Unit’s project portfolio. In particular, the candidate will work independently on EU-funded projects dealing with business modeling and entrepreneurship in a wide gamut of IT-intensive industries. In addition, the selected Researcher & Business Analyst will regularly support the team in the preparation of project proposals as well as in the dissemination of findings in the academic sphere and in the professional community.

Requirements

Technical skills

  • MSc in Economics, Management or Industrial Engineering
  • Strong background in innovation management
  • In-depth knowledge of business modeling and strategy
  • Confidence with quantitative tools related to finance and business planning
  • Fundamentals of statistical analysis
  • Ease with digital economy, social media and Web 2.0
  • Understanding of prominent technological trends in the limelight

 

Complementary skills

  • Excellent written composition skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Aptitude for public speaking

Preferred qualifications

  • PhD qualification
  • Proof of academic production in ISI-rated journals
  • Prior work or study experience in English-speaking countries
  • Understanding of DLT and blockchain-based innovation
